ANSD ~ Allcraftz National Scrapbook Day~ is almost here and the planning is full steam ahead. We have challenges, games, raffles, deals and so much more! There are also a few wonderful kits going up in store available to buy on the day, which come complete with instructions. Here are a few sneak peeks...

Kits by Hannah- she has completed 2 kits for us, one for the girls and one for the boys. Here is a little peek at the girl layout...

Marcy has put together a fantastic set of 3 ATC's for us for the big day too. So many new techniques to play with!

Marnie is putting together the Basic Gray Circle Of Friends Journal kit for us, for to record all those special moments.

Penny has kindly offered to do a class on the day for us too. This is a class not requiring a kit, and instead uses basic items we are likely to all already have at home. This is her paper technique class sneaky peek...

Ruby also planned to have a class kit available on the day however because of unforseen circumstances Ruby will instead be teaching us at a later date.

Everyone loves freebies!

As most of you know in America they are celebrating National Scrapbooking. We have our own National Scrap event the June long weekend, which is our own way to celebrate Scrapbooking & Cardmaking.

America has begun celebrating now and we have decided to join in a little with them as well. For the next 5 days you will see a few things take place in the Allcraftz Forum, as a warm up to our June event.

1. We will have 3 games scheduled this weekend.
2. Mini Challenges will be announced tonight for those wishing to take part. (To complete by Sunday)
3. We will have 25 random pop/spot prizes given out between 6pm tonight and Sunday evening.
4. We will have a Prima Flower give-away hour.
5. There will be a raffle with some great prizes.
6. Some special deals in the store available for this event only.
7. We are bringing back the Allcraftz Money Back promo (as we had last year)

The money back promo will begin at 6pm tonight and will end midnight Friday night. For each order placed you will receive a voucher to use on your next purchase. For every $25.00 (excluding postage) spent you will receive a $5.00 voucher. For example:

Spend $25.00- receive a $5.00 voucher
Spend $50.00- receive a $10.00 voucher
Spend $75.00- receive a $15.00 voucher
Spend $100.00- receive a $20.00 voucher
etc

A Rainy Day...

Well, I was the town entertainment yesterday. My FIL lost his new magnetic bracelet so my MIL and I went out the front to see if he could have dropped it on the lawn when he was loading up the car in the morning. I had one of those slow-motion feeling moments, where you can feel yourself falling but can do nothing about it. Stupid me fell off the gutter, which is all of about 10cm high, and landed full body on the road.

The worst part... I bounced! Holy moly if that is not a great way to realise you could lose a little weight HAHAHAHAHA.

Today I ache all over. I have bruises and grazes in strange places, and muscles hurt that I didn't even know existed. I was complaining to myself so much about literally having a pain in the butt that I even made a song up to myself- which I sang while packing 44 orders and promptly drove the two other people in the packing room nuts!

It's a cold and rainy day here today and I would love to curl up in my flanny pj's and read a good book. If only I could convince my little girls that they would like to do that too.

ANZAC day is tomorrow and we are off to march again to show our respect. My girls love marching beside their daddy. Maybe one day I will get around to scrapbooking the last 9 years worth of marches where Chloe was with him in each one.

For those of you who have already received the Allcraftz Newsletter you will know exactly what this is... hidden throughout the Allcraftz store, in amongst the products you will find Easter Eggs, as pictured above. Find an egg, purchase the item the egg is hiding in, and win yourself a $5 voucher. It's that easy. Most of the items cost you less than $5 each so your better off buying them, than not buying them. Purchase 2 egg items and get a $10 voucher, 3 gets you a $15 voucher, purchase all 20 hidden egg items for a $100 voucher, etc.

Allcraftz Sketch Challenges

A very dear friend is creating a special place all about sketches soon, so we decided to come up with some ways to be involved in it. Hopefully she will create a sketch challenge for us to use each month from her own special place... cryptic I know, but all will be revealed soon by the lovely lady herself.

In the meantime we have begun with our monthly sketch challenges. Each month we will give one lucky person a $20 store voucher for participating.

I've put the first sketch challenge up now... pics below...

The guidelines are simple. Use the sketch for inspiration and create your own masterpiece. Ensure you take note of the extra guideline each month and the prize could be yours providing you add your piece to the gallery by the 30th of the month.

The special guideline this month is that your creation must be about the FIRST something. (Challenge inspired by Miss Megan during our Allcraftz Birthday last year).

Erin is turning 4

Tomorrow my baby girl is turning 4. Goodness the time has just flown by! We had a bit of a drama in planning but all seems ok now... I was going to hire a jumping castle for her. She has never had a proper birthday party before so we decided this one would be BIG for her.

We booked the Jumping Castle and everything was all set- until Monday when they called and said sorry, we can't have it- they double-booked. It was super expensive for a kids party anyway ($330 for 3 hours!) so I was kind of relieved but then stuck for what else to do.

It was almost like someone was watching and smiling down on me... I bought one! It was cheaper than the cost to hire one, and is HUGE. It has a slide and ball pit in it too- actually it is a 10 in one with basketball hoop, dart, toss, bounce, climb, obstacles, slide, crawl pit, ball pool and tunnel.

I can't wait to see her face tomorrow when we put it up. It comes with it's own blower and is inflated in about 3 seconds when you turn it on. She has pre-school tomorrow and will be sharing cake with her little friends there. I'm hoping to have the streamers and balloons done, the jumping castle up and ready, the party food and games all good to go when she walks in the door. It's almost like Christmas HAHAHA... my Miss 9, Chloe is so excited it is ridiculous- and as you can probably see, I am too.

If anyone has any ideas for quick easy party games feel free to let me know. I have pass the parcel, musical chairs, pin-the-tail on the pony (she LOVES My Little Pony) and that was all at the moment. I thought the jumping castle could be the entertainment.

We are having a bbq dinner for the adults and with it being Easter Friday the following day people can kick back and relax. I wont be able to answer any emails tomorrow night everyone hehehe

I'll make sure we get some pics to show you all how it all went too.

Allcraftz National Scrapbooking Day

Shops in the US are getting ready to celebrate National Scrapbook Day and although a few of the Australian shops have some things happening on the same day as the one in the US, at Allcraftz we celebrate our own. On the June long weekend there will be a massive event taking place. There will be classes, kits, challenges, games, prizes, special deals and so much more for the entire weekend- including a section just for our children to participate and have some fun.

We have 3 special guest DT members who will be running some classes for us on the class day. MARNIE is going to show everyone how to put together a Basic Grey mini album, MARCY is going to show us some great techniques using mediums, textures and more on ATC's and RUBY is going to show us some of her amazing skills with Making Memories paints on a Layout. Added to that we have our talented HANNAH who will be preparing some kits and possibly some classes too.

All of the classes will include kits to purchase, and if you can't make it on the actual day you will be given access to all of the instructions, step by step pics, etc so you can do it in your own time if you prefer.

It's all so exciting and I can't wait!

An Allcraftz Update

Sorry for taking so long with the update. After having the shop closed for a bit I get caught up in the whirl wind when we re-open- and I love it!

As you probably know by now, I like having sales and specials on and this week is no different. I selected about 200 items to reduce the price on and put a heap in the "clearance" category. There is so much coming in that is new and exciting so I hope we can move out some of the older stock quickly.

Some of our favourite comps are back, like our Jackpot goody-(speaking of which I need to put up the new clue!) and we have some new exciting things happening. Hannah has taken on the role of setting some challenges for us for our mystery challenge item which is bound to be very interesting to see all of the results.

My mind works constantly thinking of things to do to help our customers get more for their money, and have some interacting fun, so I hope we can entertain and well as provide :)

Counting...

Well, I have started counting everything finally. I had to have each order placed pulled as much as possible so that sold items, whether paid for or not, were not included in the stock count. Stacks of people included "pre-order" items with "in-stock" items so going through each and every one took a bit of time.

Now that that part is done you should be seeing some things start re-appearing in the shop soon. Fingers crossed it will all be completed by the end of the week and we can have it all listed again and updated correctly for some weekend shopping.

2009 here we come

Well, hasn't the time gone by in a hurry! Amazing that it's 2009 already AND a new CHA event is about to happen in the US. This of course means HEAPS of fantastic new release goodies coming our way- and the need to clear all of the older stuff in store.

Keep an eye on the forum, and make sure you read the newsletters, I'm hoping to have plenty of wonderful things happening to keep you all interested and having fun.

To kick it off, we have 75 Prima Crop Kits to give away. These will all be completed and available within the next few days. We are going to make them a CHALLENGE style kit for everyone, more details to come. I've listed some info on the kit, and a video demo in the forum so it might be worthwhile taking a look.

Sorry everyone for taking so long to update the blog. My little girls have been unwell and unfortunately so have I.

We've actually had a series of dramas in the past month and just when I thought we had a new writer for "days of our lives" something else pops up. So it is with despair that I am taking a forced step back for a moment and tending to a few personal issues instead.

Most people who contact me or email know that I generally respond within a few hours but for the next few days the delay in replying may be a little longer. I'm still around, just not so in-your-face LOL... we did have use of a laptop at the hospital earlier while we were there getting some tests done, and thank goodness for that- the wait was horrible!

Moving along... our local scrapbooking store is closing down and it looks like the only place to buy products in-person within the Wagga area is set to be Spotlight. But never fear! I just might be opening a shop in town myself which will be open for purchasing product two days per week, with classes available 5 days per week at varied times. When we have confirmed details we will let everyone know.

For me, I'm off to list some more stickers in store now. Belinda will be doing listings during the day for me for a few days, and I will do some of a night. I'm determined to get as much as I can possibly can listed- seems quite pointless having a warehouse full of stock not yet viewable in the shop LOL

If you read over the last two posts you will see two challenges now available for YOU to accept... if your brave enough.

And to make it a hat trick- here is a 3rd.

I was discussing with a friend of mine the finer points of ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) and the perfect challenge has now been created!

Your challenge is a big one...

The A to Z ATC of ME.
*You will need to create 26 ATC's all about yourself.
*Each card is to represent a different alphabet letter.
*As you complete each one add it to the gallery for the shop under the "blog challenges" category.
*The first person who completes all 26 will win a 7 Gypsies ATC collection pack including an amazing assortment of brand new release items. Value in excess of $100.
*The person who is the most creatively unique will win a prize pack as well! IF it is the same person, they will receive the pack AND a store voucher.
*You have one month to finish all 26 ATC's and upload them to the gallery. The sooner you complete them the better though. Close date for this one is July 25th 2008.

There are no restrictions aside from the fact that each card must be standard ATC size, be about YOU, and must represent each letter of the alphabet...

A new challenge

Another store created a blog for themselves within the last 24 hours and must have been really impressed with mine... it's almost identical- including some of the challenge details LOL

So I have a new challenge... create a unique design for a blog for the Allcraftz Challenge Blog. Tell me what elements you think it should have, what layout you think would be best, etc. If I go with your ideas you will definitely be recognised for it- and rewarded.

So put pen to paper, and get creating. What should our blog include, where should things go, even what colours do you think we should use- so we can get away from the whole "black magic" style blog.

I'm looking at starting the new blog within the next 2 days... so be quick!!!

As you all know I've only just started on my blog, and am hoping it will get better as time goes on. This will be my space for extra competitions, games, prizes, as well as more "me" news.

I'm going to give you a challenge... completely up to you if you want to take it though. You would have a good chance at getting the prize too- especially since I'm not going to mention this anywhere else other than right here and not many even know I actually have a blog yet. Although, someone else could mention it LOL.

So, what's the challenge? What's the prize? We will start with a simple one...

The challenge is to create a single layout in 12"x12" size. You must have two circles, one square and 4 triangles on your page. There must also be 3 buttons, 1 metal embellishment and a Title. You can NOT use flowers, but your creation MUST be feminine...

To enter you simply need to follow the guidelines above, and upload your LO to the Allcraftz Gallery in the "Blog Challenges" category before July 1st. The most UNIQUELY CREATIVE will win a store voucher.

Here is the catch... I am going to announce a new one of these every now and then- at times there may be one happening without another for a few weeks, and other times there will be a few on at the same time. IF you win a total of 5 of the Allcraftz Blog Challenges, you will be given the chance to be a Guest Designer on the Allcraftz Design Team for one month. This means you will be given product to create with AND be paid for each person who signs up to do your class, not to mention if you win 5 you would have $100 to spend in the store ($20 each time). IF you don't want to do a GDT spot though, I'll double your voucher value instead... so you'll have a bonus $100 to spend. And if you STILL would like something a bit more exciting, or perhaps mysterious, you can elect to have a MYSTERY pack chosen by me instead to the same value.

Well HELLO there!

I simply couldn't resist anymore. Looking at the blogs for all of our lovely ladies has made me want to be a blogger too. I think it will give me the perfect chance to talk as much as I want to- without needing to have a newsletter the size of a novel every week.

So will we start with my most recent news? Hopefully I'll have exciting news to share with everyone as time goes on and can simply update you all right here... YAY. I think I can hear the groans... Ebony has a space to talk non-stop... look-out!

News for the shop...
FINALLY we have a new webhost! The one we have been with was completely and utterly useless. Unreliable, slow, no help for tech support at all, and just money suckers... our new one is allll you could want! Our site is HEAPS faster, operating much more efficiently and all the work is getting done so much faster. I'm LOVING it! They do web design and development too, amongst a stack of other things so all our little glitches that our original webdesigner had left on the site- and all the things he said could not be changed- will be fixed finally. YAY!

Dale from HighTek Hosting is my own real life super hero!! I am definitely happy we made the change. THANK YOU Kim for referring us to them. I am beyond appreciative!

We had our stocktake sale on this week. Lot's of orders to fill and lot's of paper heading out the door. WOOOOOHOOOOOO! Look out though- I have over 1000 new products ready and waiting to be listed. I'm going to bombard you all and upload them all on the same day.
